Technical description

Flue thermostat sensor tripped (lockout)

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the internal temperature of the boiler rises significantly above safe limits, specifically within the exhaust system. The most common reasons include a blockage in the heat exchanger that prevents heat from transferring to the water, or a pump failure that stops water from circulating correctly to cool the system down.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
