High Lockout
E1-64 on Daikin D2CND

Your boiler has sensed a flame inside the system before it was even supposed to start up, causing it to shut down for safety.

Call an engineer soon

Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24 to 48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.

Technical description

Flame detected before burner operation – try resetting the boiler

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal sensors detect a flame prematurely, which is a significant safety risk. The most common reason is a faulty gas valve that is leaking fuel into the burner tray or an electrical glitch in the main control board that incorrectly 'sees' a flame that isn't actually there.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
