Burner indicator Flashing

Your boiler has detected a simple operating error that usually means a control knob is in the wrong position or the system needs a basic restart.

Medium DIY-safe £0-80

What to check first

  1. Check that the Hot Water control knob is set to a normal temperature position
  2. Turn the left-hand control knob to the 'Reset' position
  3. Hold it for a few seconds, then turn it back to your desired setting

Parts commonly replaced

  • None (usually a settings issue)
  • Control Knob
Condensate Drain Blockage

Your boiler has stopped working because the waste water pipe that carries away moisture is blocked, often due to frozen debris inside the pipe outside your home.

High DIY-safe £80-150

What to check first

  1. Locate the plastic condensate pipe running outside from your boiler.
  2. Pour warm (not boiling) water slowly over the outside of the pipe to melt any ice blockage.
  3. Place a container underneath the end of the pipe to catch any water if it is frozen inside.
  4. Once the water flows freely, reset your boiler using the reset button on the front panel.

Parts commonly replaced

  • Condensate trap
  • Condensate siphon
