What causes the Ideal 37 fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's central brain fails to communicate with a small identity chip known as the BIM. This typically happens because the chip has vibrated loose from its socket over time or the electronic components on the chip itself have suffered a terminal failure. Without this connection, the boiler cannot verify which model it is and shuts down as a safety precaution.

Typical repair cost £150-350 (including labour)
