What causes the Ideal LC8 fault?

This fault occurs when the heat pump's internal brain, which controls the speed of the motor, detects an electrical irregularity or a component failure. The most common reason is that the inverter board has suffered a breakdown or the compressor is drawing too much power, causing the system to ship down for safety.

This fault is more common during peak winter months when the heat pump is working at its highest capacity and the electrical components are under the most stress.

Typical repair cost £450-£900 (including labour)
