Technical description
FAN ERROR
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control center sends power to the fan, but it doesn't receive a signal back that the fan is actually spinning. This is usually caused by the fan motor seizing up due to age or electrical wear, though it can also happen if the circuit board fails to communicate with the fan correctly.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
