What causes the Potterton 160 fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer signals the fan to spin, but the fan fails to reach the required speed for safe combustion. The most common reason is that the fan motor has worn out or siezed over time, though it can also be caused by a communication failure between the control board and the fan wiring.
