Technical description
Fan runs at incorrect speed or fan fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer signals the fan to spin, but the fan fails to reach the required speed for safe combustion. The most common reason is that the fan motor has worn out or siezed over time, though it can also be caused by a communication failure between the control board and the fan wiring.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
