Technical description
Control signal for both gas valves
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main computer loses the ability to properly communicate with the safety valves that let gas into the burner. It usually means the electrical signal between the control board and the gas valve is interrupted or the internal coils within the valve have failed. Because the boiler cannot guarantee a safe flow of fuel, it shuts down immediately to prevent an unsafe start-up.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
