What causes this fault?

This fault happens when the boiler's main control board loses its digital connection with the internal water pump. The most common reason is that the pump's internal electronics have failed or the wiring between the pump and the main computer has become loose or damaged. Without this constant digital 'handshake,' the boiler stops for safety because it cannot confirm that water is being moved around your system correctly.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
