The 6 most common faults
Your boiler is struggling because the electricity supply coming from your wall socket isn't stable enough for the machine to operate safely.
Check if other electrical appliances in your home are flickering or behaving strangely to rule out a wider power issueTurn the boiler off at the fused spur or mains power switch, wait 60 seconds, then turn it back on to reset the systemIf the fault persists, contact your energy provider to ensure your home's mains electricity supply is stable
Your boiler has stopped working because the water pressure inside the heating system has dropped too low to operate correctly.
Locate the external filling loop (a silver braided hose) underneath the boilerOpen the small valve(s) on the loop to allow mains water into the systemWatch the pressure gauge on the front of the boiler until it reaches 1.5 barClose the valve(s) tightly to stop the flow and remove or disconnect the hose if required
Your boiler has failed to light the flame needed to produce heat and has safely shut itself down as a precaution.

Full guide for F05Your boiler has stopped because the flame inside it has unexpectedly gone out while it was trying to heat your water or home.
Full guide for F20Your boiler has lost its ability to accurately measure the water temperature, so it has safely shut down to prevent overheating.
