Technical description
FLAME DETECTION ERROR
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal sensor fails to confirm that a flame has successfully ignited, even if you can hear the unit trying to start. The most common reasons are a worn-out sensor probe that can no longer 'see' the flame or a buildup of carbon soot that prevents the electrical signal from passing through accurately.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
