Technical description
Domestic hot water sensor fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer stops receiving a reliable signal from the sensor that monitors your hot water temperature. The most common reason is that the sensor has physically failed or 'drifted' out of its correct settings, meaning the boiler can no longer safely judge how hot the water is. Occasionally, it can be caused by loose or damaged wiring that has broken the communication link between the sensor and the main control board.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
