Technical description
Gas valve control circuit error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board loses its electrical connection with the gas valve, meaning the system can no longer control the flow of fuel. The most common reason is an internal electronic failure within the valve's circuitry or a loose connection in the wiring harness that links the components together. In some cases, the control board itself may have degraded and is failing to send the correct signals to initiate ignition.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
