What causes this fault?

This status occurs when the heating cycle finishes and the boiler keeps the pump spinning for a few minutes. It physically pushes the remaining hot water out of the heat exchanger and into your pipes to prevent the internal components from overheating. It is a normal safety function rather than a mechanical failure.

DIY fix possible

Check that at least one radiator (usually one without a thermostatic valve) is fully open to allow water to circulateWait for the code to clear automatically after a few minutesEnsure your system pressure is between 1.0 and 1.5 bar on the display
