DIY fix possible
Check the batteries in the wireless room thermostat (Vitotrol) and replace them if they are low.Make sure the thermostat is within range of the boiler and that nothing large or metal is blocking the signal.Switch the boiler off at its on/off switch, wait 2 minutes, switch it back on, and see whether the code clears.If the code returns, or the thermostat is wired rather than wireless, book a Gas Safe registered engineer rather than opening the boiler or disturbing the wiring.
