Technical description
Final fault code (Refer to section 7.11)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system attempts to light the burner but fails to detect a stable flame after several tries. This is usually caused by a lack of gas supply, a worn-out component that creates the spark, or a sensor that is no longer able to tell the boiler that the fire has actually started.
This fault is more frequent during extreme cold spells, as external gas meters or regulators can sometimes freeze and restrict the flow of gas to the appliance.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
