Technical description
PCB fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board suffers a hardware failure or a breakdown in its internal memory. It is often caused by unexpected electrical surges, moisture getting into the casing, or simply the components wearing out over many years of use.
This issue is more frequent during the winter months when the boiler is working under higher load and electrical components are more susceptible to failure during power fluctuations or storms.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
