DIY fix possible

Check the pressure gauge on the front of your boiler; it should ideally be between 1 and 1.5 bar.If it is below 1 bar, locate the filling loop (usually a silver braided hose under the boiler) to top up the pressure.Check your boiler service history record to see if an annual service is now due.
