Technical description

Burner fails to light or extinguish after a few seconds. Includes checks for gas supply, ignition/detection electrode condition and gap, burner tube cleanliness, spark presence, 230V at gas valve, gas valve resistance, and condensate trap or flue blockages.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
