Your boiler is not heating up because the temperature dial is turned down too low or switched to the off position.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description

Main burner fails to light, pilot burning - Boiler thermostat set to ‘OFF’ or low setting.

DIY fix possible

Locate the thermostat dial on the front of the boiler control panel.Turn the dial clockwise to a higher temperature setting.Ensure the external wall thermostat or programmer is also set to call for heat.
