What to check first
- Note the exact code and any other messages on the boiler display before doing anything else.
- Switch the boiler off at its on/off switch, wait two minutes, then switch it back on to see whether the code clears.
- Check that other heating zones and hot water are working, and note which rooms or radiators are affected.
- If the code returns, leave the boiler alone and book a Gas Safe registered engineer, giving them the code and the affected zone.
