DIY fix possible
Check the batteries in the Vitotrol room thermostat and replace them with fresh ones if they are low.Make sure the thermostat is within range of the boiler and is not blocked by metal objects or other electrical equipment.Switch the boiler off at its power supply for about one minute, then switch it back on and see whether the code clears.If the code returns, contact a Gas Safe registered engineer, as the connection cable or the thermostat itself may need repair or replacement.
