Technical description
Fan fault / Hall sensor fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects that the fan is not spinning fast enough to safely extract exhaust fumes. The most common reasons are a build-up of dust and debris within the fan motor or a failure of the sensor that monitors the fan's rotation. If the fan cannot reach the required speed, the boiler will automatically shut down as a safety precaution.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
