What causes this fault?

This isn't actually a fault, but rather a status update showing that your boiler is successfully burning gas to heat your home. It appears when the internal thermostat or external controls have requested heat, and the boiler has successfully lit the burner to meet that demand. You are seeing this because the boiler is operating exactly as it was designed to.

This code is most frequently seen during the autumn and winter months when the central heating is switched on regularly to keep the home warm.
