What causes this fault?

This code appears when the boiler has been manually put into a high-performance test mode, usually by a technician during a service or installation. It is not a breakdown, but rather a deliberate setting where the boiler runs at its maximum power to check that the gas valve and flue are working correctly. Once the test is complete or the technician exits the menu, the boiler will return to its normal heating mode.

DIY fix possible

Press the 'Back' or 'Reset' button (represented by a flame with a line through it) to exit the test mode.Wait approximately 15 minutes as the boiler will usually exit this mode automatically.Turn the boiler off and back on at the fused spur switch to clear the temporary status code.
