Technical description
Stepper motor fault (gas valve)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer is unable to communicate with or move the motor that controls the gas supply. The most common reason is that the motor has physically jammed or its electronic windings have burnt out, preventing the valve from opening to let fuel in for ignition.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
