Pump over run
What causes this fault?
This occurs when the burner shuts off and the pump continues to move water through the heat exchanger to prevent the boiler from overheating. It is a built-in safety feature designed to dissipate residual heat after a period of heavy use. Once the internal temperature has dropped to a safe level, the message will disappear and the pump will stop.
This status is more common during winter months when the boiler is working harder and for longer periods to heat the home.
DIY fix possible
No action is required as this is a normal operational status message.Wait a few minutes for the status code to change once the boiler has cooled sufficiently.If the code never disappears and the pump runs constantly for hours, contact a professional.
