Technical description
Heating remaining cut off time xx minutes
What causes this fault?
This occurs because the boiler has reached the required temperature set by your thermostat and has entered an anti-cycling mode to save energy. It is a protective measure that prevents the burner from turning on and off too frequently, which reduces wear and tear on internal components. Once a few minutes have passed and the water pulse has cooled slightly, the boiler will fire up again automatically.
This is more common during milder weather in spring or autumn when the house is nearly warm and the boiler doesn't need to run constantly to maintain the temperature.
DIY fix possible
Wait for the timer (xx minutes) to count down to zero.Ensure your thermostat is turned up higher than the current room temperature.Check that your radiator valves are open to allow heat to dissipate.
