Technical description
Flame detection fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system senses a flame when it shouldn't, or it cannot verify that the gas has ignited properly. The most common reason is a sensor or electrode that has become worn, dirty, or damaged, leading to an incorrect signal being sent to the main circuit board.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
