Technical description
Internal control fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board suffers an internal electronic failure, meaning it can no longer send or receive instructions from the rest of the system. The most common reason is age-related wear on the electrical circuits or a sudden power surge that has damaged the delicate components on the board. Because the ‘brain’ of the boiler is compromised, it shuts down as a safety precaution.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
