Technical description
Internal fault (PCB)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer chips or electrical circuits suffer a hardware failure, meaning the board can no longer process data or send signals to other parts of the boiler. It is often caused by long-term heat exposure degrading the components or a sudden electrical surge that damages the delicate circuitry. Because the 'brain' of the boiler is damaged, it shuts down as a safety precaution.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
