What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer brain suffers a communication breakdown or a component failure on the circuitry. It is usually caused by a hardware malfunction within the control board itself or a loose electrical connection that prevents the board from sending instructions to the burner.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
