Technical description
Inverter Error
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the brain of the heat pump loses the ability to talk to the motor that drives the system. The most common reason is a failure within the inverter power board, which acts like a high-speed switchboard, often caused by electrical wear or a component overheating. Because the control board can no longer manage the motor's speed or power, the system shuts down to prevent electrical damage.
This fault is often more frequent during peak summer or winter months when the inverter is under higher stress to maintain extreme temperature demands.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
